CHURCH LEADERS’ BIBLICAL STUDIES (CLBS)

This course is to equip deacons, elders and other church leaders who have appointments to teach the Word of God and to give leadership in the church. This course will also prepare those who are planning or already involved in Gospel’s outreaches in local communities or in foreign missions.

Systematic Theology:

1. Doctrine of the Bible: Inspiration, Inerrancy and Infallibility of the Scripture, the Canonization, Preservation
2. Doctrine of God: Trinity, Christ, Holy Spirit
3. Doctrine of Sin: Fall of Man, Total Depravity, Judgment
4. Doctrine of Salvation: Election, Christ’s Atonement, regeneration, salvation, forgiveness, justification, reconciliation, sanctification, glorification
5. Doctrine of Sacraments: Baptism and Lord’s Table
6. Doctrine of Church: Universal Church, Local church, Leaders of the Church, Unity and Function of the church
7. Doctrine of Last Days: Rapture, Tribulation, Second Coming, Millennium, Final Judgment
8. Doctrine of Eternity: Heaven and Hell

1. Covenant Theology VS Dispensational Theology
2. Biblical Covenants
3. Divine Revelations - Natural revelation, Special Revelation (the Bible), Christ the Logos; Illumination (unto salvation, understanding of the revealed truth). Are there revelations today?
4. Biblical Analysis Pentecostal and Charismatic Theology – Baptism of the Spirit, Tongues movement, Charismatic: sign and wonders
5. Church: Examination of Modern Church Growth Principles and Practices. Analysis of false theologies and propagated by the Charismatics – abuse of Lord’s Supper; apostles today?  
6. Interpretation of the Bible (Hermeneutics) – Principles of Biblical interpretation
7. Principles and Practice of Prayer
8. Names of God
9. Doctrine and Practice of Separation: Personal sanctification – separation from ungodliness, the world, the ungodly, Ecclesiastical separation – from other religions, humanism and unbiblical philosophies, Ecumenism, Neo-Evangelicalism
10. Preservation of the Bible – History of the Bible, and translations, Why we uphold KJV above all other English versions
11. Church government and administration: Biblical church government of rule by elders - Presbyterianism, supported by deacons. The Role of Pastors, elders and deacons. Can there be deaconesses?
